Result
The MEN³ shaving cream is applied to the beard area or scalp:
Wash the face first with the MEN³ Beard and Face Cleanser or facial cleanser or drape a hot towel over your face to open the pores, loosen hairs, and make it easier for a razor to glide and shave. This helps prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.
- The most hygienic way is to scoop a small amount of shaving cream into your wooden or porcelain shaving bowl.
- Dab your brush in lukewarm water.
- Leather up in your bowl.
- Gradually add dribbles of water and swirl. Until you get a leather that is dense with few or no visible bubbles
- Put a thick foam layer on your beard area and start shaving.
- Always add wet foam if the foam starts to dry out. Shave lightly from the wrist and never put pressure on your safety razor or open blade. Depending on the sharpness of your knife and your shaving technique, you will get super smooth skin. If you have worked with several blades before, it takes some getting used to. - Rinse abundantly with lukewarm water and pat dry
You can also create a lather directly on your face by swirling the brush on your bristles. Alternatively, you could get a brushless soap/cream which doesn’t require a shaving bowl or a brush for lathering and gets applied with your hands
Note: A shave isn’t done when the shaving is done. It’s done when the skin is protected and hydrated. Therefore we recommend also using a bit of oil-free moisturizer or after shave balm to nourish and soothe the skin. After all we want the skin to feel soft and refreshed, not tight and dry.
Ingredients
A selection of the 24 (healing) ingredients:
- Babassus oil: One of the most sought after ingredients for the entire skin care industry. Melts and absorbs into skin instantly where it balances the natural oils in your skin. Helps men with skin problems caused by eczema and sooths irritated and sensitive skin. Packed with antioxidants and healthy fats, it can boost the health of your beard area and skin by moisturizing them without causing a greasy feeling
- Shea butter: Contains soothing properties for psoriasis and eczema skin. Not comedogenic and fast absorbing! People with skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis often seek moisture and redness relief. Shea butter’s anti-inflammatory and emollient properties make it an excellent product to help soothe flaky, red, and irritated skin.
- Soybean oil: Has an antioxidant effect and mainly contains vitamin E. Has skin-tightening and moisturizing properties.
- Phenoxyethanol: Colorless oil, preservative. Phenoxyethanol has a broad antimicrobial effect on bacteria, yeasts and fungi and also keeps the product stable. It is a worthy alternative to harmful parabens.
- Tocopherol: This is the antioxidant superstar. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin. It will defend the skincells against oxidation by free radicals (UV radiation) and thereby slow down the aging process.
- Ascorbic Acid: A water-soluble vitamin C with antioxidant properties. It counteracts cell-damaged free radicals and is very beneficial for the formation of collagen. It can regenerate UV-damaged skin and thicken the epidermis. Studies show a slight reduction in wrinkles and improved skin elasticity.
